GridCAE - Live Demo and Presentation
The live demo consists of a presentation including a technical demonstration. The presentation is broken up into several sections. Presenters may tailor the presentation to their audience by electing to only show certain sections (for example, the business section may be skipped when presenting to a technical audience). There is also a stand-alone executive summary, which can be given in situations where there is not enough time to perform the full presentation.
The presentations are in Powerpoint format and include a script in the notes to help guide the presenter. The presentations cover the same material as the key story document which should be read for background knowledge before presenting.
All content available for download is distributed under a creative commons licence.
The various sections are described in more detail below.

Background
The presentation should begin with this section which presents the background and motivation for GridCAE.
Technical Overview
This part of the presentation includes technical details on GridCAE, covering the use of Grid technology.
If the presentation is being given to a business-oriented or non-technical audience, you may want to consider skipping this section.
Demonstration
The technical demonstration can either be run live in Windows or Linux, or shown as a video of a live run when one of the live demo requirements can not be met; for example if there is no network.
The Live Demo User Guide, which is included in the distribution in the docs directory, goes through the installation instructions for the live demo and explains the CFD problem and Grid solution which are shown. In order to run the live demo, an evaluation copy of
modeFRONTIER is required. modeFRONTIER is a multi-objective optimization and design environment software produced by a company called ESTECO.
In order to acquire the modeFRONTIER software, users must request an evaluation copy from ESTECO. Details on how to do this are included in the demo bundle. Note that the software has a short-lived licence; you will need to apply again even if you have used the GridCAE demo in the past.
The live demo runs a Grid CFD job on a compute cluster at NTUA. NTUA have agreed to allow demo presenters access to this resource for the duration of the project.
We acknowledge the ESTECO offer of free modeFRONTIER licences for the purposes of the demonstrator and the NTUA offer of a compute-cluster for the demo.
