TravelCRM in a few words...

TravelCRM involves the pooling of data from groups of travel agencies in
order to generate enough information for useful Business Intelligence
analysis.
Based on a SaaS model, the business is founded on servicing back the pooled results of CRM and BI processing, which requires distributed data access and processing at the back-end and a B2B layer at the front-end.

Situation

The increase in do-it-yourself travel sites has caused travel agencies today to lose their status; to stay in business, travel agencies need to find the way to capture new clients or improve the rapport with the few existing ones.

To face competition, travel agencies must offer high-value personalized travel services for their customers at competitive prices. For that, they must analyze their customer data through Business Intelligence processing.
Yet current practise is characterised by the lack of customer data acquisition by small travel agencies and, thus, the impossibility of develop marketing campaigns based on very small volumes of BI information available to them.
Also, travel agencies lack the necessary CRM and BI tools because the expense of these tools cannot be justified in a context when data collected by a single agency is insufficient, and there is no data sharing across agencies.

Objectives

Solution

TravelCRM will deploy a Grid platform capable of integrating and pooling CRM and BI applications and their functionalities in order to achieve massive and secure processing of CRM & BI data across different domains, and make the results accessible to multiple travel agencies through a common back-end.
The outcome data will be used to extract relevant BI to address personalized marketing campaigns to be carried out by travel agencies.
